Homicide in Hollywood is a short first-person mystery game that takes place in 1940s Hollywood in which players will piece together evidence and figure out who killed a famous actor on his film set.
Homicide in Hollywood was developed as a project for an intermediate Unity class meant to illicit an emotion from players.

Engineering
I led some engineering touch-ups for the game including the implementation of UI pop-ups, collider fixes, and led the post-processing design.

Design
I implemented the entirety of the post-processing features of the game. The game director had a vision for the screen to have a black and white film grain. I took that premise and crafted it to fit the needs of the game. I finetuned elements such as grain, bloom, saturation, and more to get the noir aesthetic that the final game shows!
Future
I will be continuing developing this project and adding more interactive elements to it. I want to play around with adding in a journal of sorts in the menu, so that the player can read the evidence they’ve already found in one place. I also want to add more audio such as talking and paper sound effects.
